Surah Al Balad is “Meccan Surah” . In the Surah , total are 20 verses & 1 Ruku. The name of this Surah is derived from word “Al Balad” mentioned in verse 1, meaning “The City” appears. This Surah was revealed in Mecca most probably in a middle period of the Prophet Muhammad’s preaching in Mecca when persecution had already started.
Allāh gave us two eyes, a tongue, and two lips, and showed us the path of good and evil. It is we who ultimately make the choice.
